The day of ceremony and pageantry, on what is a bank holiday weekend, will see the King become the 40th reigning monarch to be crowned at Westminster Abbey. His wife Camilla will be crowned as Queen Camilla.

On Saturday May 6 and Sunday May 7, the Coronation Steampunk Weekend is heading to Bridlington. Coronation celebrations and steampunk fun will combine this year to create an extra special event, and everyone is invited to dress up for this fun filled, family festival. On Sunday May 7, Filey Town Council invite you all to this event in the Crescent Gardens. Musical entertainments are from 11am until 4pm, and includes: 11.15am The Counterfeit Celts; 12:15 pm Bite the Bullitt 1:30 pm The debut performance of the North Yorkshire Majorettes; 2:15pm The Jamie Alexander Band; 3:15 pm An Acoustic Set.
