Mum and university lecturer Kate Long has inspired a new facebook movement #FromMyWindowScarborough and already has more than 500 members.

Residents and the business community are sharing paintings of rainbows by putting them in their windows so passersby can enjoy them.

" I saw a post about a movement in Spain and Italy called #FromMyWindow; a platform to share artwork in our windows; hopefully a little way to share some joy, positivity and creativity when we are social distancing," said Kate

Like many other parents, I was looking for ongoing projects to keep Harry entertained. This so well for that.

"We are currently changing the window from Mother’s Day to a new window display, as I’m keen to keep things fresh for people as they go out for their short walks," she said.

#FromMyWindowScarborough is linked to Scarborough Bear Hunt where members are asked to put bears in their windows.

Scarborough artists Peter Norris, one of Katherine's neighbours, has designed a logo for the site.
