Lifeboat crews rescue two men after their kayak capsizes; two of the lifeboat crew swam out to them

A Flamborough Lifeboat crew was deployed at 7.42pm to help the two men by the Breil Nook area of the headland.
Two of the crew swam out to the casualties, who had managed to reach the shore but were suffering from cuts and bruises from trying to get to safety.

Hide AdA team from Bridlington RNLI were called out to assist and their inshore lifeboat crew managed to get through the swell and backwash to get both kayakers and the two crewmen onto the Flamborough lifeboat.
The kayakers were taken to shore for medical attention.
Bridlington crew helm Ad Trower said: "We couldn't wait for the tide to make the job easier due to the men's condition - they needed to be taken off - but with the two Flamborough crew there to guide us in, it made the job easier."
