Firefighters were called after sparks from a train caused a fire on the Yorkshire Coast on Saturday.
The teams from Whitby Goathland and Lythe were deployed to the blaze at the railway embankment at Beck Hole Road in Goathland at 1.28pm.
The sparks, from a passing train, had caused two areas to catch fire - one measuring 30 by 3 metres and the other 20 by 2 metres.
Firefighters used a jet, pump, five backpack sprayers and six beaters to put the fire out.
