Firefighters cut someone out of a vehicle after a crash near Robin Hood's Bay yesterday.

Teams from Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby were deployed to the A171 at 12.10pm.

When they got there, the driver was out of the vehicle but the passenger was trapped.

They used cutting equipment to remove the roof and free the passenger.

Both people were taken to hospital in an ambulance.
