Former Filey pub The Grapes to be turned into three new homes
The Grapes in Queen Street was sold by Admiral Taverns in May after it decided the business was no longer sustainable.
Now, permission has been granted to Eco Custom Homes to build three houses on the site, by Scarborough Council planning officers.

“The pub has been shut for some time.
"Its small size and the abundance of alternative food and drink establishments in the local area mean that it is unviable to continue as a pub.
“The Grapes pub was marketed for a period of approximately nine months with no interest from pub operators.”
Seven objections to the proposals were lodged by members of the public who were concerned about the impact on parking in the area and also the disruption during the building process.
